The EuChemS Division of of Computational and Theoretical Chemistry announced the first call for the EuChemS Walter Thiel Award In Computational and Theoretical Chemistry in April 2022. The award is to be granted every two years.
The award, named after Walter Thiel, one of the world’s leading European theoretical chemists of the late 20th and early 21st century, aims to recognise outstanding contributions of EuChemS affiliated young researchers. All EuChemS Member Societies were invited to make nominations. Nominations endorsed by several Societies were especially welcome.
