Nineta Hrastelj did her PhD at the University of Ljubljana in Slovenia. Her research topics cut horizontally across analytical chemistry, chemometrics and metrology. She is author, co-author or editor of various publications in research and education as well as policy related topics of general concern.
She has worked in the private and public sector at the national and at the European level. Her contributions were recognised by several awards. Since 2011 she is General Secretary of EuChemS.

Chiara Capodacqua

Chiara Capodacqua joined EuChems in October 2024 as Science Communication and Policy Officer.
She holds a bachelor’s degree in International Relations and a master’s in International Cooperation and Development. Prior to joining EuChemS, she gained experience in communication roles within several non-profit organizations.
At EuChems, Chiara works on science communication and policy-related activities, including managing publications, writing articles, maintaining the website and social media channels, and supporting policy activities such as monitoring, reporting, and analysis. She also coordinates EuChemS events.

Claudia Jiménez Hernando

Claudia Jiménez Hernando joined EuChems in August 2022 as Administrative Assistant.
Claudia’s main activities at EuChemS pertain to performing secretarial duties and assisting the General Secretary in the daily management of the association, as well as liaising with internal networks and assisting in organising meetings and events. Her previous experience was in the field of education and culture within the EU institutions. She holds a master’s degree in Global Crime, Justice and Security and another one in Gender Studies.
