EuChemS Letter to President Schulz and President Juncker on Reduction of Greenhouse Effect Gases
On the 3 November 2014, EuChemS has sent a letter to the President of the European Parliament and to the President of the European Commission, urging these institutions to do all in their power to reduce the emissions of greenhouse effect gases in the EU. EuChemS is certain that chemistry research will significantly contribute to achieve this goal.
This letter follows the most recent report on Global Warming and Climate Change from the United Nations´ International Panel on Climate Change, which states that “human influence on the climate system is clear, and recent anthropogenic emissions of greenhouse gases are the highest in history. Recent climate changes have had widespread impacts on human and natural systems.”
