In December 2022, EuChemS responded to the Public Consultation on the European Critical Raw Materials Act.
The consultation’s goal was to harvest expert opinion on how to diversify the European Union’s critical raw materials supply, strengthen circularity and support research and innovation. In the consultation, EuChemS argued for increasing the EU’s refining and recycling capacities of, as well as substitutions for rare materials, amongst other things.
