EuChemS Division Chair Rachel Mamlok-Naaman receives ACS award

Rachel Mamlok-Naaman, Chair of the EuChemS Division of Chemical Education was named as the recipient of the prestigious American Chemical Society (ACS) Award for Encouraging Women into Careers in the Chemical Sciences. She was awarded this honour in recognition of her accomplishments in stimulating and fostering the interests of women in chemistry and promoting their professional developments as chemists or chemical engineers – including her activities as the Chair of the EuChemS Division of Chemical Education.
Rachel Mamlok-Namaan, alongside being an EuChemS Division Chair, is a faculty member of Department of Science Teaching at the Weizmann Institute of Science, and a member of the Israeli Chemical Society. She will receive the award at the 2025 ACS Spring meeting in San Diego, where she will hold a session as well.
The recipients of the 2025 ACS National Awards, including the Award for Encouraging Women into Careers in the Chemical Sciences were published recently in the ACS Journal “Chemical & Engineering News”. This award, founded in 1993, is sponsored by the Camille and Henry Dreyfus Foundation.
