We are pleased to announce the sixth edition of the Exploratory Workshop NeXT-Chem: Innovative cross-sectoral technologies, which will be held as part of the upcoming European Research & Innovation Week.
NeXT-Chem VI aims to provide a platform for young researchers (Master and PhD students) to present their ground-breaking work in developing innovative solutions to global challenges.
Our event will include a dedicated session on knowledge valorisation on March 21st, focusing on delivering impactful innovations critical for addressing pressing issues such as climate change and digital energy transition. The fields addressed on occasion of the exploratory workshop are: nano-sciences and nanomaterials; environmental and cultural heritage artifacts’ preservation; sustainable management of resources; capitalization of bio-resources; increasing the competitiveness of industrial products; green transition of the chemical and petrochemical industry; recycling, upcycling and recovery of by-products.
As we embark on a new journey to achieve the goals outlined in the European Green Deal and REPowerEU, which are consistent with those of NextGeneration EU, we will commemorate 20 years of ICECHIM as a National Institute for Research & Development in Romania and shape our contribution to EU political priorities, recognizing the critical role of research and innovation activities in supplying the technologies required for a sustainable future.
The official language of the workshop is English.
Session titles:
– Multifunctional materials, nanocomposites, innovative technologies and cultural heritage protection (MTCH)
– Bioresources, Biotechnologies and Biorefining (BBB)
