The Young Chemists Summit will take place in Salzburg, Austria! From the 14th -16th of February 2024, we offer a broad program centered around the theme of “Diversity in Chemistry”.
Prepare to be inspired by plenary lectures delivered by renowned scientists, who will share their discoveries and insights into various aspects of chemistry. Prof. Dr. Claudia Felser, Max Planck Institute for Chemical Physics and Solids in Dresden, Germany, is giving us the honor of opening the Young Chemists Summit in Salzburg with a lecture on “Topology and Chirality”. Moreover, we have the great honor to announce that Prof. Dr. Mike Murphy, MRC Mitochondrial Biology Unit at the University of Cambridge, United Kingdom, is giving the closing lecture on “Chemical Strategies to assess and intervene in Mitochondria”. Prof. Dr. Omowunmi Sadik, New Jersey Institutes of Technology, United States of America, is giving a lecture on “Beyond Boundaries: developing the next future leader in the chemical science”. Furthermore, Prof. Dr. Mir Wais Hosseini, University of Strasbourg, France, is giving us an insight into “Molecular Turnstiles”.
In the Austrian Young Chemists Network, we are dedicated to nurturing the next generation of scientific leaders, and thus, our program features oral contributions by talented Ph.D. students, postdocs and young PIs, providing them with a platform to showcase their innovative research and contribute to the discourse. Additionally, our conference hosts an interactive plenary discussion centered around the theme of “Diversity in Chemistry”. Beyond the academic sessions, we offer optional excursions and workshops, allowing participants to delve deeper into specific areas of interest and explore the beautiful surroundings of Salzburg. Additionally, seize the opportunity to connect with industry representatives during networking sessions, enabling invaluable personal Q&A sessions and career advice.
