Nineta Hrastelj, EuChemS Secretary General, was invited to the 2025 Global Women’s Breakfast (GWB) event in Romania, where she discussed the theme “Scientific leadership through collaboration and fair competition.” During the event, Hrastelj addressed the challenges women face in science, such as unconscious bias and unequal access to leadership roles.
She emphasised the importance of creating a culture of equity, respect, and transparency in science, while also advocating for consistent gender equity policies and greater representation of women in leadership positions to foster innovation and fair competition in scientific fields.
The GWB2025 served as an important platform for advancing gender equality and building a more inclusive scientific community.
