The German Chemical Society – New President

EuChemS is happy to welcome Dr. Matthias Urmann as the new President of the Gesellschaft Deutscher Chemiker (German Chemical Society). Dr. Urmann studied Chemistry and obtained his doctorate at the University of Heidelberg. After a postdoc stay at Harvard University (USA), he joined Hoechst AG in 1993. Urmann is Director External Innovations at Sanofi R&D Germany, one of the companies that emerged from former Hoechst AG.
